This is a two plate reduction print and was etched using caustic soda as well as traditonal cutting with tools.
 
It was inspired by the stunning bluebells and fresh green beech leaves that can be seen in the Swinley Forest every spring.  The low spring sun slanting through the trees each morning brings the colours to life and signals warmer days are ahead. 
 
The final inking on the foreground trees and foliage surrounding the sun differs slightly on each print due to the nature of the application of the ink
