FRAMED Beach Label series

These are clothing tags, recycled and repurposed with the addition of collaged print, washi tape, paint and gesso finished off with a foraged find from a Norfolk beach.  
 
These represent the consumer and their waste that can end up in the sea, then washed up on beaches.  Humans love beaches, they represent freedom and holidays and staring at the power of the ocean, yet we damage them so much and cause our litter to wash up along the shore.  These materials are sustainable and mainly recycled.  The thread is binding nature and us together reminding us that we are part of nature and belong with it.
