This print was made using two plates, a collagraph plate made using found items from the Swinley Forest, and a linocut plate.  I wanted to literally embed the forest into this print; the collagraph layer is fairly deeply embossed showing all the natural things I used in the plate: ferns, pine needles, grasses and the like.  The black of the linocut plate is actually very deep green, mixed from blue and brown.   
 
My prints are all made by hand, each layer of each print is individually inked and pressed therefore there are individual variations within each edition.  Every print is a unique and original work of art.
