This print was exhibited at the Southbank Printmakers mini print competition 2022.
This print was inspired by the dandelion clocks which appear in their thousands every spring in an area called 'Woodside Park' in Bagshot. It is more commonly referred to by locals as 'the field behind Waitrose'. This is a wonderful piece of land; gently sloping with a beautiful selection of trees dotted throughout, a bank of rhododendrons which put on a stunning spring display and criss-crossing paths weaving through grass and wildflowers. Once the dandelions have flowered and formed their clocks time ticks on and the grasses take over giving the whole meadow a slightly purple tinge.
My prints are all made by hand, each layer of each print is individually inked and pressed therefore there are individual variations within each edition. Every print is a unique and original work of art.
Framed by Alastair Smithers Picture Framing, with a white window mount (colour matched to the paper the etching is on) and a simple white 'wood texture' moulding. Overall framed size is 22cm (w) x 23cm (h).
